The Harry T. Burleigh society exists to preserve and further the legacy of the father of Negro Spirituals, Harry T. Burleigh by supporting musicians and educating the public through performances and seminars. This group works tirelessly to bring some of the most beautiful and often overlooked genre of music to the public. Using Harry T. Burleigh’s signature as the base, the resulting brand is reminiscent of old American wood type and gilded age typography.

The Harry T. Burleigh Society hosted a concert with the Fisk Jubilee singers at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall.
